Tangerang, 17 November 2025 — Group 1 of Class 7A1, Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang, successfully delivered their presentation on the topic “Understanding News Writing.” This activity was part of an English course project designed to help students strengthen their understanding of how news articles are structured and written.
During the presentation, Group 1 discussed the key elements of news writing, such as crafting an effective headline, developing a strong lead, and organizing the body of the news using the 5W+1H framework. They also provided practical examples that illustrated how raw information can be transformed into clear, concise, and engaging news stories.
The presentation ran smoothly and interactively. At one point, an audience member asked a thoughtful question:
“How do you determine a good strategy for writing a news?”
The group responded by explaining that a good news writing strategy involves identifying the most essential facts, understanding the target readers, and ensuring the information is accurate, balanced, and easy to follow.
The lecturer also praised Group 1 for their confident delivery and teamwork, encouraging other students to continue improving their writing skills—especially in journalism, where clarity and accuracy are crucial.
Overall, the session not only deepened students’ understanding of news writing but also enhanced classroom engagement through active discussion and critical questions from the audience.
